Neena Paul, The Free Spirit
Meet Neena, a free-spirit, dreamer, tree-hugger, travel addict and a book lover. Hailing from God’s Own Country, Kerala, it is only natural she fell in love with travelling to places that are green, beautiful and not urbanized. Her love for travel took her on her first high altitude trek to Kashmir. She returned an explorer, a travel addict. From then, there was no looking back.
Currently based in Michigan, United States she often travels back to India to fulfill her travel goals of discovering her home country. Blogging was her way of discovering herself and sharing her interests with the world to break the monotony of being a techie. As an avid book reader since childhood, she also enjoyed reading fiction, classics and autobiographies. In her journeys she is always accompanied by a book, her camera and a travel companion. She believes in enjoying life to the fullest, breaking perceptions and stereotypes and in gender equality.

Rama Vani, The Creative One
Rama is that everyday woman you see who is a full time mother, working a 9 hour IT job and juggling priorities at home and work. What sets her apart is her fierce determination to embrace change, accept challenges and evolve. She loves collecting saris, attempting half marathons, reading history and fiction.
Life gave her modest beginnings from a small town called Salem in the culturally rich Tamil Nadu. Experiences and opportunities grew her into the traveler and book addict that she is today. She befriended words and stories at a young age which transformed her into the voracious reader that she is today. Not a day had gone by where she did not dream of travelling to beautiful peaceful locations and embracing the life and culture of lesser known places. Today, she lives her dream.

Between them, KindleAndKompass was concieved as a portal for their love for travel, of the stories they read and what they wanted to share with the world. Interlaced with travelling across off-beat tracks across the world, they carved their niche in bringing to their readers stories from these places along with offering great book suggestions. If books are their sources of motivation and knowledge, travel empowers them to do greater things independently, manage their finances better, be more organized and planned in everything in their life. While many choose to cite their busy work-life as a reason for travelling less and finding no time to read, their story is that of making the most out of their time apart from work and using it for planning that next travel, or reading that next book.
This blog is young and growing, but scan through to read a few of their most beautiful documented journeys on their blog so far to show you why you need to follow them and their stories.
